[REVIEW] Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and are ready to begin 2017, with a fresh start and a new attitude. I know I like to think I am every year, but who am I kidding I never stick to anything I say at the beginning of the year. I thought I would kick start the new year with a review of the Makeup Geek eyeshadows, my wonderful boyfriend bought me some for Christmas along with a Z palette to put them in. If your from the UK you can purchase these individual eyeshadow pans from BeautyBay at £6.00 each, they even do free delivery on orders over £15.00.

These are their normal eyeshadows, but they do duo chromes as well, I have 3 matte shades and 1 shimmer. For the price of these eyeshadows, you get really good quality eyeshadows that are just full of pigmentation. The shimmer shade has a little bit of kick up, but there’s no fall out. I have to say I’ve never really had a problem with eyeshadows not lasting and I never use an eyeshadow primer, these definitely are long lasting for me.

I really love Makeup Geek packaging, it’s so art deco and I have to say you need some form of empty palette to put these in, which is of course an added cost. I tend to see this as a positive though because your are basically building your palette and choosing what it’s look like on the inside and the outside. I would highly recommend a Z palette, though costly I feel you have the most freedom with these as it’s completely empty and metal pans just go straight in or you get magnetic stickers to put make them magnetic. You can easily remove them to see the names of the shadows underneath.

Overall, I’m super pleased with the eyeshadows and will definitely be purchasing more and maybe trying the duo chromes. I’m so pleased with the Z palette as well because I have so much room to fill and build my little Makeup Geek collection.

I hope you enjoyed the first post of the year, I know I enjoyed writing it. If you did please feel free to share, like, leave a comment because it’s greatly appreciated and every little helps. I’m glad to be back in the blogging groove and there will definitely be more to come in the short distance. Farewell for now.
