Now I don’t know about you, but I have a serious highlighter addiction and my wonderful boyfriend has helped feed this addiction by buying me the infamous Champagne pop highlighter from Becca. In the Uk you can purchase that at Space NK for around £32.00, this is probably the most I will pay for a highlighter because I use to think the MAC mineralised skin finishes were expensive. For those of you unaware this is a collaboration that Becca did with youtube star Jaclyn Hill, this was originally limited edition and due to the high demand it became a permanent item in their collection. Recently she also released a limited edition collection that included blushes and another highlighter, called prosecco pop.
The box it comes in is a beautiful shiny gold, which differs from their normal highlighters, but once taken out it’s in the normal black packaging. I really like the sleek packaging, it feels high quality, plus it comes with a really nice mirror inside.
Now the formula is incredible, there is no kick-up and isn’t very powdery. The colour is a golden champagne colour and I thought it might be too dark for my skin tone, but I’m really pleased to say that it’s not. It’s got a bit of shimmer and glitter, but not the chunky kind because super subtle. It’s really quite an intense highlight that doesn’t accentuate any texture on my skin, it gives a wet sheen especially when I use fix+ to intensify it even more. I love to apply this with the real techniques setting brush, but a fan brush would work well too.
I have to be honest it’s my favourite highlighter and haven’t used any of my others since I got this. Yes I know this is out of some peoples budget. but if your someone that’s looking for a new highlight you can look at this like an investment because you only need to use a little, making it last longer than some. It’s safe to say that I don’t know if I’m going to find a highlighter that I’ll love more than this one. Let me know down in the comment section if you love it as much as I do.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed and if you did please feel free to like, share or leave a comment. Until next time.
