[REVIEW] Loreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation

Being someone that loves a full coverage foundation, I was super excited to hear about the new Loreal foundation, it’s apparently so full coverage that it can cover a tattoo. I didn’t bother trying this over my tattoo because I just wasn’t impressed at all by it. You can purchase this in Boots or Superdrug for around £9.99, so it’s just a standard drugstore foundation price. They haven’t got the widest range of colours, the colour I picked up was Light Sand and it’s the only shade that’s not got pink undertones and this is the lightest shade of the range.

The packaging is simple, not really anything special and I obvious that’s fine because it’s not like your paying a load of money for it. It’s just a standard squeeze tube and that completely makes sense because this foundation is unbelievably thick. This consistency is remarkably like the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation in the sense that it’s almost a whipped consistency. I’m going to be honest I can’t get on with these type of foundations, I find them super difficult to apply, I tried so many different ways; Foundation brush, BeautyBlender and my hands. It in no way looked natural, it just sat on my face looking cakey, I just felt like I had to put so much energy into making it look somewhat reasonable.

As the for the longevity I didn’t find that it lasted anywhere near as long as some of my more loved foundations, Estee Lauder Doublewear and Loreal Infallible 24HR Matte. I didn’t even find it to be incredible coverage, yeah it was high coverage, but it didn’t blow my away because you would have to layer it to get those kinds of results and that would just look cakey. If you were to use a little bit of the foundation it wouldn’t look bad, but you wouldn’t be getting the coverage, which is the whole point of the foundation.

Anyway, this has got to be a miss for me because it completely flopped. Maybe it’s because it way hyped up, but the consistency was just all wrong in my opinion. If you have dry skin or even combination skin, I wouldn’t recommend because it will cling to any dry patches. If your someone that had a different experience and maybe I’m doing it all wrong then please let me know in the comments below.

I hope you enjoyed reading, if you did then please feel free to share, like and comment because I really appreciate it. Until next time guys.

  1. I’m not keen on foundations with this type consistency! So glad I read your review because I was thinking of buying it, but I don’t think I will now. It’ll be too heavy/thick on my skin X
