If you guys saw my little beauty haul that I posted about 2 weeks ago, then you would know that I picked up the Bahama Mama bronzer from TheBalm to review. I hadn’t tried anything from TheBalm until now, but I had been meaning to try somethings from them. Their products are closer to high-end prices rather than drugstore prices. I did pick this bronzer up from Superdrug for £17.99, but I’ve heard they aren’t going to be stocking them for much longer unfortunately. The only other place that I know sells TheBalm is Debenhams and I believe that’s online and in-store, let me know where else you can get it in the comments below.
The packaging cute and kind of gives me Benefit vibes, which is a good thing if you like this illustrative style. It is made from a thick cardboard and to me that is a little disappointing because I feel like they could spend more money on the packaging, I prefer actually hard plastic. The bonus is that you do get a decent mirror inside, which kind of makes up for the cardboard packaging. The bronzer itself it’s a really good matte shade for my skin tone, I don’t know if they do darker or lighter shades, let me know if they do. I found it to be great pigmentation and didn’t find it go patchy or anything like that. I like to use this as either a bronzer or for contouring, depending on whether I can be bothered to contour. As for wear-time, I’m not someone that notices much of a difference in my bronzer throughout the day, it always seems to just stay there.
Overall, I’m really happy that I picked this up and I will definitely keep using this for either bronzing or contouring. I really like the way it looks on my skin because it’s not too warm, but it’s not too cool toned either and I understand why this is so popular. If you’ve tried this or have any recommendations, them let me know in the comments below.
