[REVIEW] The Ordinary Peeling Solution

The-Ordinary-Peeling-Solution

Recently I’ve been trying out a bunch of new skincare because I’m updating my skincare routine, most of the things I’ve been trying have in fact been mostly Botanics. However I have been looking into chemical exfoliation and how it differs with a physical scrub. I will be doing a comparison post here soon so keep an eye out. I picked up this Peeling Solution from The Ordinary because I had heard good things, the one product I did want to try from Mario Badescu is still out of stock on BeautyBay unfortunately. You can buy The Ordinary from Asos and I’m not sure where else, so you know where else you can purchase this brand let me know in the comments below. I’m really impressed with the prices from this brand because I thought it would be more expensive, but this peeling solution was only around £6.

I love the packaging for this, it seems quite science-y and really great quality because the bottle is a frosted glass and then has a glass dropper inside that you use to distribute the onto your face. This colour of the formula is a really deep red and looks like I have some weird blood mask on. Due to the harsh chemical inside you shouldn’t leave this on for longer then 10 minutes, I don’t know what would happen, but I don’t really want to risk finding out. This solution contains both BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid or Salicylic Acid) and AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid or Glycolic Acid), both of which are perfect if you looking for smooth, radiant and younger looking skin. They also have their own benefits like BHA targets normal/oily skin helping unclog pores making you skin smoother overall. AHA is super hydrating and target normal/dry skin. Due to them doing different things, I thought I would pick something up that contains both acids because I want to best of both worlds.

I have been using this once/ twice a week and I’m definitely noticing a difference, my skin feels incredible and I really feel like it’s clearing up. I have marks on my cheeks leftover from spots and I do feel like it’s helping them fade and in general my skin just look healthy. Now some of this I think is also due to the other new skincare item that I’m trying, but I truly believe this working great for me. If your concerned about using sort of product because you think it may irritate your skin, but don’t worry because I have relatively sensitive skin and it’s seem fine on me. I would just recommend doing some sort of patch test to make sure you don’t have a reaction to it. As I said before I would do a blog post on my updated skincare and I will also compare chemical exfoliation to physical exfoliation.

Thank you guys so much for reading, if you enjoyed or found this somewhat helpful then please give it a like, leave a comment and share. Thanks again and I’ll speak to you soon.
