[REVIEW] Botanics Skincare Range

Botanics-Skincare-Range-Review

Some of you may be aware if you follow me on Instagram or read my August Favourites that I was lucky enough to have become a brand ambassador for Botanics Skincare. I don’t get paid to talk about their products and I wouldn’t talk about a brand that I didn’t fully support. I did receive these products for free and if you use the code BOTANICS2 online at Boots you will get money off your first order, this isn’t an affiliate code so I make no money from this.

I’m going to start things off with their Hydrating moisturiser that contains rosehip. I’m someone that has overly oily skin, so I generally avoid moisturisers that contain oil or anything super hydrating. As it turns out hydrating moisturisers are great for oily skin because it’s just dehydrated skin hence why you shouldn’t avoid moisturising if you have oily skin because it will make it worse. I haven’t noticed my face getting any oilier during the day, it doesn’t necessarily keep my face matte either though, which isn’t a bad thing because it just makes my skin look healthy.

Next to that is their Rosewater Toning Spritz, which was in my august favourites. I love this because it’s refreshing when you mist on your face. I don’t know what it really does for you but my face really loves it. I’m someone that is really picky when getting things in spray bottles because sometimes they can be unreliable, spurt everywhere and are just uneven. This spritzes so the finest mist over your face, I don’t know how they did it, but it’s incredible.

Their Illuminating Radiance Balm with Hibiscus is basically an illuminating primer, but with skincare benefits. I will admit this is my least used product, one because I rarely use primer (Yes I know, Shock horror) and two because I have oily skin I tend to shy away from illuminating primers and foundations. I have used this a few times, but quite sparingly because I was scared I would be a greasy hotdog. I was pleasantly surprised, I don’t feel it made my makeup last longer like a primer would, but then again it doesn’t claim to. I do feel like it gives you a nice natural healthy glow and I have been loving that look this summer. I would definitely say that this works with all skin types.

Last, but certainly not least is the Face Scrub with Hibiscus. This a such a beautiful gentle scrub that I love to use on a daily basis, when I’m not using my more harsh scrubs or my chemical exfoliants. This is perfect for just giving your face a really clean and although it’s gentle it still feels like it’s doing something, which I love because I hate using a product when I don’t feel it’s doing anything.

Overall I love this range and I definitely need to try more and when I do I will of course let you guys know how I get on. I have one note about this collection and that’s the very floral scent that comes in all the products I have tried so far. I have sensitive skin and haven’t noticed any irritation from any of the products, so don’t hesitate to try this. If you have tried anything from their new range, please let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading, if you enjoyed or found this somewhat helpful then please give it a like, leave a comment and share it. Thanks again and I’ll speak to you soon.
