Happy New Year, I hope you guys had an amazing Christmas and an incredible New Years. I took a break over Christmas and now I’m back with a bunch of new things to review. The NYX Warm Neutrals palette was a Christmas present from family and I’m excited to share my thoughts with you guys. If your in the UK you can buy NYX in-store at most Boots and online at Boots, Asos and CultBeauty (If there’s anywhere else let me know in the comments below. This palette is around £15.00 and you get 16 different shades, 7 are shimmer shades and the other 9 are matte. Below are swatches of each row. this palette doesn’t have shade names which is why it’s each row going from left to right.

The formula for these shades is as impressive as I was hoping for. The shimmer shades are really pretty and pigmented, but the matte shades are a little dry and nowhere near as pigmented. If you couldn’t already tell I had trouble swatching the top because the shade are super pale and they barely show up on the skin. I found the best way to use this is to build up the shades to get the results your probably looking for. They blend really well, I had no problems with that. There is a tiny bit of powdery-ness from the matte shadows specifically, which I don’t really care about. I’m not someone that has issues with having eyeshadow fade during the day and I don’t where eye primer, so they stayed on all day and were long-lasting for me.

Overall, I found this to not be as impressive as I was hoping. It’s still a good palette, but it didn’t wow me. I love the shades and will probably continue using this anyway just because I have it and like the more subtle looks I can create with it. If your looking for an affordable palette then I would say this is a good option, it’s better than some other ones you can get at the drugstore. I would say this palette would be perfect for beginners as the pigmentation is lower it will be harder to mess up and all you have to do is build it up. If you have tried this or have any recommendations then let me know in the comments below.
