[REVIEW] L’Oreal Infallible Shaping Stick

L'oreal-infallible-shaping-stick-review2Recently L’Oreal launched some new infallible products, including concealer, primer and foundation. I picked up the concealer and the foundation, the foundation is a stick and I’ve never tried a stick foundation because I’ve always imagined that they’re hard to blend. I picked the foundation up from my local Boots for £8.99.

L'oreal-infallible-shaping-stick-review1I don’t know how much product you normally get with a stick foundation, but it seems like a good amount. I picked up the foundation in the shade vanilla and I don’t know about you guys, but I find that a lot of there shades are cool toned. Upon first application I was surprised about how creamy it was, I always imagined they would be quite dry. I found it to be medium to full coverage and buildable, which is what I really like. It blended out really well and I found the best technique for this was to use a buffing brush to really get it in there. It didn’t seem to dry or become matte, which can be a problem if you have oily skin. Even after setting it with my usual powder I found the foundation can shift on your face a little bit when doing the rest of your makeup. After you few hours it started settling in lines in my face that I didn’t even know I had and definitely doesn’t keep my oils at bay.

Overall, I wasn’t overly impressed with this product because it just didn’t seem compatible with my skin type. I imagine this would really work for someone that has dry skin because it seems to have a more dewy rather than matte finish. I probably won’t wear this much, but I’ll keep trying it to see if there’s a way to make it work. Let me know if you have tried this or if you have any recommendations.

Thanks for reading guys, if you enjoyed it then give it a like, leave a comment and share. Thanks again and I’ll speak to you soon.
