[REVIEW] Maybelline Colourstay Matte Ink

I recently purchased the Maybelline Colourstay Matte Ink liquid lipstick in the shade Poet. I had heard some really good things and I don’t normally buy much from Maybelline, so I thought why not give it a try? They retail for £9.99, which is a little more than I would expect from Maybelline, but it’s still a reasonable price.

I’m a sucker for packaging, I love the matte packaging and I love that the packaging corresponds to the colour of the lipstick inside. The applicator is really unique, it comes to a sharp point and there’s a hole in the middle that collects a lot of product. I was a little unsure how I would feel about it because I thought it would apply to much, but it makes it easier to control the application. The pigmentation of this is really good, as you can see above that it basically covers my tattoo. The formula is pretty standard, it’s thick or moussey, but it drys down to a really comfortable matte. I was blown away by the staying power of this liquid lipstick, I found this to stay on my lips all day. Even after eating and drinking, with barely any transfer.

Overall, I have so say I’m fricking obsessed and I have been wearing this non-stop since I bought it. I will definitely have to buy more if not all the colours, I just love it. I highly recommend these if your looking for a long-wearing lip colour and they have a large range of colours. Let me know if you’ve tried these, what your thoughts are and let me know if you have any recommendations.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it and if you did then feel free to give it a like, leave a comment and share. Thanks again guys and I’ll speak to you soon.
