[REVIEW] Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

It’s rare for me to spend a lot of money on mascara because I feel there are such great affordable ones. I always here amazing things about the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara, so I thought I would it up. Too Faced has become widely available in the UK, online (Cult Beauty & ASOS) and in-store (Debenhams). They also opened up a store in London that I really need to visit at some point because I’m betting it’s super Instagram-able. This mascara is the no1 selling mascara in America and retails for £19.00, which isn’t usually what I would opt to pay when it comes to mascara.

The first thing I noticed was the superb quality of the packaging and how the tube felt quite weighty. The wand is slightly hourglass shaped and is a natural fibre bristle brush. I found the wand to be too large for my eyes and I always found a way to get it on my eyelid, no matter how careful I thought I was being. The formula is quite standard for a mascara, but I felt it clumped easily and was weighing my eyelashes down. This meant they didn’t get the lift and curl that I need, so they remained relatively short and straight. There wasn’t any flaking and my lashes staying pretty much the same all day, with no issues taking it off at the end of the day.

Overall, I wasn’t that impressed and found it to be relatively over-hyped. This didn’t personally work for me, but I know my best-friend swears by it, so it’s very dependant on your lashes and what you want from a mascara. I will stick to my maybelline one for now. I can do a comparison post comparing this mascara to the l’oreal lash paradise, if you wish. As always if you have tried this or have any recommendations, then let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed and found this somewhat helpful, if you did then be sure to give it a like, leave a comment and share. Thanks again guys and I’ll speak to you soon.

  1. I do love this mascara, but it is definitely one of the ones that gets better once it is dried out a bit (weird, I know.) Also, if you buy it through Debenhams you can get the full-sized mascara and a waterproof travel size mascara in the same bundle for £19. Another cheaper, drugstore mascara I love is the Nyx Doll Eyes – it’s fab and only around £8.
